The passing of Anna Mitchell-Hedges in 2007 also meant the transfer of responsibility (and privilege) as caretaker of the Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull passed to Bill Homann – a close friend since 1981 who later in life was the caretaker of centenarian Anna Mitchell-Hedges herself.
Bill Homann’s background in the Air Force and in martial arts makes him the ideal caretaker for ensuring the safety of the Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull. Bill Homann is also valiantly succeeding in carrying out the wishes of Anna Mitchell-Hedges as he travels around the world making the famous crystal skull available directly to the public, instead of having it reside behind glass in a museum.
There may have been some controversy regarding adventurer F.A. Mitchell-Hedges and his original acquisition of the crystal skull, but the ultimate truth is that where it comes from is not as important as what it does – and how people are affected in its presence.
Bill Homann whole-heartedly believes the main message that the skull is trying to share is for all of us to drop our egos and work and support each other as if we are all one … We are not separate from each other, we are all connected through Love.
That is the reasoning behind the renaming of the Mitchell-Hedges Skull as “The Skull of Love” – emphasizing the belief that crystal skulls are here to help humanity and they work by connecting with the heart of man. [1]
